SCOPE OF WORK
- Main umbilical pull in ops (winch ops and prep works, rigging works at heights, scaffolding)
- SSIV umbilical pull in ops (elaborate routing of wire rope during winch ops, additional support structure used as a pivot for pull-in)
- MEG flooding cap retrieval
- Mechanical completion of main umbilical
- Hook up and termination of umbilical at terminal points
- Winch installation
- Rerouting of wire rope for different pulls (involves hot work, dismantling and re-rigging, scaffold modifications etc)
- Material transfer
- Pre-commissioning works – 6” MEG line pigging & hydro test
- Lines pigging 8t hydro-testing
- Prep work for pre comm involves some hot work, dismantling of valves
- Routing of pipes/hoses across decks

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Located about 300 kilometres southeast of Hong Kong, the Liwan 3-1 natural gas project is an important component of Husky’s mid-term production growth strategy and a key step in accessing the burgeoning energy markets in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Husky Oil China Ltd awarded Saipem the contract for the Liwan 3-1 Field – Deepwater EPCI. The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of two 22 inch diameter 79-kilometres-long pipelines, umbilicals, along with the transport and installation of a subsea production system linking the wellheads to a processing platform.
